Our next show is scheduled for 23rd June at the Cross Keys and we are delighted to have Tom Killlner playing for us with his band. Tom is one of the hottest young talents around and the band plays a great set of original soul infused southern blues rock with some Americana vibes for good measure.
Just over a year ago a good friend of mine, Simon Sargeant sadly died from oesophageal cancer shortly before his 60th birthday. Simon was a great supporter of live music and he and I attended many gigs together. If he was still around he would have been very involved in the Leeds Blues Club because that was the sort of bloke he was. Simon would have been 61 in June and consequently I would like to make the gig a memorial to Simon. His wife Carole, set up a tribute page for Simon to raise money for Cancer Research in his memory and has managed to raise more than £10000. We would like to make a contribution to this in Simon’s memory by donating profits from the gig to the fund. We will also hold a raffle on the night to raise some more money to put into the charity.
To make it a fitting tribute and to raise as much as possible in this admirable cause that impacts pretty well most of us in some way or another, we would love to fill the Cross Keys with a packed house of lovers of high quality live music so please tell all your friends and drag them along with any members of your family that you would like to share the evening with us too.
Click on the ticket link to buy your tickets on Ents24 or you can join as a member and for £15 a year you will save £2 on every entry ticket plus get a 10% discount on the Cross Keys bar on club nights.
Let’s make 23rd June a night to remember.
